самолет у нас был в 6 вечера - поэтому этот день мы просто болтались по El Calafate.
Там есть как-бы парк с фламинго (по сути это кусок огороженной дикой территории) - по факту птицы там повсюду вдоль озера и вне парка тоже. Из парка есть небольшие ворота (выход из парка) к берегу озера (оно как море :) - если будете гулять - обязательно воспользуйтесь этой возможностью - там просто кучи фламинго, лебедей ..... Еще много птичек - очень похожих на соколов. Летящие фламинго очень красивое зрелище!!!!!!

Нетавно там еще открылся музей посвященный ледникам - у них есть свой автобусик - который из города отвозит к музею. Мы к автобусику не успели - местные сказали, что на осмотр надо отводить 2 часа. ...
Нагулялись ... аэропорт .. вылет в БЭ через Ушуая. Ушуая ( Ushuaia, Argentina ) - очень красивая с воздуха!! Помоему пол самолета щелкало фотиками - стюардесы и стюарды не ругались :)
Поздно ночью заселились в отель и спать. Завтра начало круиза.

El Calafate. Перито Морено & Упсала

Небольшая ремарка - если бы у меня был всего один день - я бы выбрал Перито Морено. Но лучше отвести себе как минимум 2 полных дня, чтоб увидеть еще и айсбергки и Упсала - оно того стоит!!

Очень понравилось. уехали в 7 утра вернулись в районе 8 вечера.
Очень понравились айсберги по пути к эстансия (ранчо) Кристина. Забегая вперед скажу, что айсберги понравились сильно больше чем в Антарктиде т.к. тут мы плавали прямо рядышком.

Далее на машинках 4x4 поднялись к Упсала - дорога очень симпатичная. Точка с которой открывается вид на ледник находится в примерно в 3-х километрах от ледника.
Тут виден масштаб ледника но нет тех ощущений как у Перито Морено - где вы находидесь непосредственно перед ледником. Меня больше айсберги восхитили.

Отличный день! Едем дальше :)

аэропортик очень маленький. В зоне прилета 2-ве будочки (такси и шатл до гостиниц)
взяли шатл 33 песо на человека. На обратно дают купончик 20 песо на человека.
Аэропорт примерно в 23 км от El Calafate. ехать 20-30 минут.
Отель был забронирован заранее ( Hosteria Hainen $202 доллара за 3 ночи включая все налоги). Отель понравился - рекомендую. Для любителей остановиться в палатке недалео от отеля (рядом с мостом) есть кэмпинг 65 песо (толи палаткомето толи с человека - вподробности не вдавался :)
Заранее были запланированы 2-ве экскурсии
1. (must see = обязательно к посещению) Mini Trekking через Hielo & Aventura ( www.hieloyaventura.com email: ventas@hieloyaventura.com) катание на лодочке рядом следником, небольшой поход к леднику и прогулка в кошках на леднике Перито Морено ( Glaciar Perito Moreno ) + посещение "балконов ( Balconies) = осмотр ледника с другой стороны"
стоимость 500 песо на человека + 100 песо с человека вход в парк.
2. Поезка к Эстансиа Кристина (Estancia Cristina Discovery 4x4) (557 песо + 100 песо наличными за вход в парк - все с человека) (с осмотром айсбергов по дороге туда) и осмотр ледника Упсала ( Glaciar Uppsala ) в масштабе
2.1 Estancia Cristina Discovery 4x4 - важный нюанс - оплатить деньги за вход в парк - нужно заранее т.е. не в день посещения.
3. день до вылета самолета осмотр города и окрестностей..

Наш отель был расположен в 10 минутах хотьбы до центра города. Отель понравился.
Рядом с ним находится ресторан Дон Пичон (Don Pichon) - согласно отзывам зарубежных путешественников он номер 1 среди местных ресторанов.
От себя могу сказать, что мы хоть и не посещали других ресторанов в городе - Дон Пичон ( Don Pichon www.donpichon.com.ar) - очень понравился. Пожалуй самый вкусный стейк в моей жизни я скушал именно там. Смотрите блюда в разделе с названием похожим на "...Аргентинос". Стейк порядка 55 песо. Баранина тоже очень вкусно и процесс приготовления визуально вкусный.

Красиво расположен. Такси от вашего отеля и обратно за их счет (сами это не проверяли т.к. жили практически напротив).

The closest match we have in Russia in terms of heart feeling is Victory Day (9 May)

p.s. for those of you who does not know about Memorial day I took some information from Wiki "Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May.... Over time, it was extended after World War I to honor all Americans who have died in all wars. Now known as Memorial Day, it is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces."

6. When you use Camera application you can say to iPad to focus to the specific area just touch the point on the screen where to  you would like to focus your iPad`s camera

7. You should know that you can make the iPad`s camera to zoom in and out
just touch screen and you will see the slider to zoom in and out

8. to search through calendar, contacts, web, notes press Home button when you on main screen (where pre installed apps` icons are located) and you will get the search fileld

9. How to delete photos on iPad / How to remove pics from iPad / How to remove photos from iPad?

Open "Photos" app
Go into Photos mode
Click the upper right icon arrow next to Slideshow
Select The Photos to Delete
Press Delete

10. How to charge iPad through USB
older computers will charge your iPad slowly if the screen is turned off, but if you turn on the display you will  possibly  see that the tablet is not charging.

11. How to work more natural with gmail on Ipad. (delete vs archive)
Initially I was confused with archive (archive location, what is it for ..) option but I did the following steps to start working with gmail in more natural way.

Go to "Settings"
Click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
Click on your Gmail account
change "Archive Messages" to "Off" or "On"
Now (in Ipad mail client) you can see delete button instead archive one

I have just bought an iPad so i started to collect some useful hints.
go to part 2

1. How to make screenshot of the current screen?
ans. Press Home and Power buttons at the same time.

2. How to get list of recently runned apps?
ans. Press twice Home button.

3. Safari - how to return to the top of the current page?
ans. Just click on the title of the page

4. How to lock screen rotation, adjust volume and brightness?
first do as i described in hint num 1
then swipe bottom of the screen to the right
then do what you asked for

5. Safari How to search within open web page?
when you have any web page open in Safari.
Look to the top of the page and you can find there google search field.
start typing anything you like and in look up list at the botton you will see grouping with title "On this page"
select your text right after the title and you are done
if you have more then one match to your search string
then you will see "Next" button down your screen.

how to split big map into several printed pages

I do use the following feature in Picasa (see link)
you can split your map in chucks of diff sizes 10x15, 20+
with overlap feature (this will help to easy link printed chunks of your map)

"Nah" чтобы это значило :)? (Влияние великого и могучего или что-то другое? )

На днях одним моим другом в ответном письме я был послан "Nah" :)
надо сказать, что думает он на английском и конечно он имел ввиду совсем другое.
Если когда либо увидите "Nah" - на самом деле на сленге это означает мягкое НЕТ
Или, например, "Nah you good" - означает - все ок и т.д.

в моей жизни было несколько прикольных конфузов (с моей стороны) когда казалось бы обычное слово но, но означающее на слэнге совсем другое - приводило к смешным ситуациям с людьми - для которых английский родной .. но об этом в след. раз :)
