The spot itself is located next to Lovina city (Bali). The hunting starts with sunrise. Sun rise is the best time to see dolphins. If you start just 1.5 hour later then your chances are almost zero.
In October the sunrise is about 5 am. We started at 5:30. We were told that sometimes you can see about 500!!!! dolphins in a row. Rumors :)? We can prove that we saw at least 50 ones :)
